JHS Elite Night

 

ELITE NIGHT is Jackson High School’s annual beauty pageant.

JHS ELITE NIGHT GUIDELINES

Qualifications:

  • Females in ninth through twelfth grade are eligible.
  • Students must not have disciplinary referrals for the school year.
  • Each contestant should exhibit the proper attitude towards school..

Requirements:

  • Entry fee of $30.00
  • Contestants must sell a minimum of 8 tickets at $5.00 each. This is not optional. Each contestant must turn in $65.00 for these tickets by the deadline. Tickets sold at the door will be $7.00. Tickets will be distributed to contestants as scheduled. Ticket money will be due as scheduled. Contestants are responsible for lost tickets.
  • Everyone except contestants and escorts must have a ticket to enter the building the night of ELIGHT NIGHT. There are no exceptions.
  • A formal gown must be worn. No bare midriffs, unlined sheer material or slits above mid thigh will be allowed.
  • The contestant must select a boy or girl between the ages of 4 and 7 to escort the contestant on stage. The escort must be able to attend one practice. Contestants will be given information about her escort’s attire for ELITE NIGHT and are expected to pass this information along to the escort’s parents. Escort’s parents are responsible for providing escort’s outfit.
  • Contestants will be given a practice schedule in early January. (Mon, Tues, and Thurs @ 3:15) Excorts must attend practice on Thursday. Transportation to and from practice is the contestant’s full responsibility. All practices are mandatory unless another school activity interferes.
  • Only those students involved in ELITE NIGHT will be allowed in the auditorium during practice.
  • No food or drink will be allowed in the auditorium. (refreshments to purchase in the lobby)
