The Student Government Association is a leadership organization with the purpose to develop JHS leaders by enhancing their integrity, motivation, and confidence and by offering a positive environment for the cultivation of ethical leaders and responsible citizens in a global community.

The SGA is facilitated so that all representatives have an opportunity to contribute, learn, and grow.  In this spirit, they sponsor a variety of events throughout the school year. The SGA sponsors Homecoming events, the Thanksgiving Food Drive, Salvation Army Christmas Drive, American Education Week, and help with Awards Night, Memory Night and Graduation. 

Last year the SGA made a significant contribution to the school by repairing the Trophy Cases in the school foyer.  They also purchased rugs and signs to promote the positive attitude of Jackson High School.
